POTUS and CBS reporter Weijia Jiang are involved in a back-and-forth during his daily press briefings after the latter presses him about his initial plan to fight the spread of COVID-19.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump's recent discord with a female reporter apparently did not sit well with Gretchen Carlson. The former Fox News anchor labeled the 45th President a "misogynistic jerk" after he told CBS News White House correspondent Weijia Jiang to keep her voice down during his daily press briefings over coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday, April 19, the 53-year-old former Miss America took to her Twitter account to voice her thought on how Trump handled the situation. "Trump is such a misogynistic jerk to female reporters asking legitimate questions about his #COVID19 plan. He says - 'Keep your voice down'. She wasn't raising it," she wrote before thanking Jiang "for [her] questions" and encouraged her to "keep asking."

Gretchen Carlson slammed Donald Trump.

Carlson also applauded CNN political correspondent Dana Bash for standing up for Jiang. "Thank you @DanaBashCNN for defending women like @weija when trump told her to keep her voice dow and relax," she tweeted. "No doubt there is a difference in a way he treats women and it's horrible."

The anchor thanked fellow journalist for standing up for another woman.

Trump's treatment at female journalists was not the only one Carlson has issues with. Minutes earlier, the journalist, who was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World back in 2017, brought to light the time the POTUS acted like "a jerk to the @cnn male reporter." She added, "…and now he's comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln!! Please …."

The former Miss America also pointed out other matter.

The spat between Trump and Jiang took place on Sunday night after she asked him why he did not warn Americans about the COVID-19 crisis sooner. "Many Americans are saying the exact same thing about you," she pointed out. "That you should have warned them that the virus was spreading like wildfire through the month of February instead of holding rallies with thousands of people. Why did you wait so long to warn them, and why did you not have social distancing until March 16?"

When Trump defended himself, Jiang pressed on, "You're the president, and you didn't warn people that the virus was spreading so quickly. When you issued the ban, the virus was already here." Jiang's statement prompted the POTUS to tell her "do her research". While Jiang tried to respond to his remark, the POTUS cut her to say, "Keep your voice down, please. Keep your voice down."
