While some fans call her idea to have an individual chat with the actress 'cool,' many others are blasting the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' alum for charging that high amid this difficult time of coronavirus crisis.

AceShowbiz - Tori Spelling has angered people for trying make money out of her popularity amid the coronavirus pandemic. The actress has come under fire after she announced a virtual meet-and-greet that will cost her fans $95 each.

Promoting the event on her social media pages, the 46-year-old promised an individual video chat with a limited number of people. Those who signed up for the event, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 9 at 5 P.M. PT, would also be able to take virtual selfies together with the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star and download a copy of the video call afterward.

"Can't wait to do my first ever virtual meet and greet Thursday, April 9 at 5pm PDT. Only 20 spots available so reserve your spot now. Link in my bio xoxo," so she wrote in the caption accompanying the promo ad, which has since been deleted. Some of her fans called her idea "cool," while some others expressed their interest in joining the meet-and-greet.

However, many others were left unimpressed by her petty way of getting money from her fans, while other celebrities have been using their fame and wealth to help others in this time of crisis. "Tori Spelling wants to do a virtual chat with all you house bound people, but she'll charge you $95 to do it. There's a pandemic, people are isolated and alone, even dying, but leave it to a D-list celebrity to figure out how to make money off the situation," one called her out on Twitter.

Another reacted to Tori's announcement, "That's disgusting if true." Some others took to the comment section of her post to slam her. "Geeeez.. other more famous people are doing this for free, shame on you for charging that much," a shocked follower wrote.

"Celebrities a lot more famous than you are doing FREE shows and donating to COVID relief. How do you live with yourself?" read another similar comment. "People are doing free concerts and you are charging? How about you do a lottery and do random pics for the winners!!!" another suggested. Another person blasted her, "Crazy blonde has lost her mind."

"Sad to read .. the BEST of Talents are offering free concerts and TED talks are free and they have important issues to share but you're charging $95.00 a person," another weighed in. "I'm angered that Americans have to read for years that you don't pay your bills but continue to live high on the hog. Grow up and teach your children that working both you and your husband is the correct answer to your problems. Stop renting 5 Huge warehouses and sell your hoarding."

"You need to stop trying to capitalize off people right now. People are DYING. Out of work, damn near homeless and you want US to PAY your debts off?!? You should be ashamed. I don't even care if you block me after this, you are a terrible person," someone else voiced her/his outrage.

Another user, however, has come to Tori's defense. The said person wrote, "Her family gotta eat to! If u can afford, have money to spare & n want to chat with her...great, u will pay it! Its her Job, her jobs been put on pause just like most of the Rest of the world and she has a family to support! ..... @torispelling ,kudos getting creative & giving people an escape from quarantine life virtually with you!"

Tori has not responded to the backlash and currently the event is still planned to go on as scheduled.
