The 'Whatever You Like' hitmaker wants the incarcerated rapper, with whom he traded insults last year, to be freed from prison after learning of 6ix9ine's impending release.

AceShowbiz - T.I. is brushing aside his old beef with Kodak Black to demand justice for the incarcerated rapper. The "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle" star has spoken up to call for the early release of the "Roll in Peace" rapper from prison, after learning the news of Tekashi69 a.k.a. 6ix9ine's impending release.

On Wednesday, April 1, DJ Akademiks posted on Instagram about 6ix9ine's early release from jail due to his asthma medical condition during the coronavirus outbreak. Jumping in the comment section, Tip wrote, "S*****t Dey need to Free @kodakblack den..." He added in another comment, "They should free Kodak first."

Agreeing with Tip, Lil Yachty posted a similar comment, "We need kodak back now, We need kodak back now."

T.I. championing Kodak is quite surprising considering their feud back in 2019. It all started when the latter made insensitive comments about Lauren London following the murder of her boyfriend Nipsey Hussle. Tip schooled the 22-year-old star, saying in an Instagram video, "Kodak Black, you outta pocket, n***a. Fix that s**t, quickly, expeditiously, n***a. You outta pocket, n***a. If ain't nobody else gonna say it, I'ma say it. If I see you, I'ma say it in your face."

Not apologetic, Kodak then released a diss song aimed at Tip called "Expeditiously", on which he called T.I.'s wife Tiny Harris a.k.a. Tameka Cottle "piggy." In May 2019, Tiny addressed the insult during an interview on Yung Joc's morning show "Streetz Morning Takeover". "Yeah, I thought that was pretty disrespectful," she said. "Tip is one of those people he's not a person to be disrespected. And then you are going in and talking about kids and it's just too much."

Kodak has been jailed following his arrest in May 2019 for gun charges. In November, it was reported that he was sentenced to 46 months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of making a false statement on a governmental form, which stemmed from January 2019, when he lied on a form while attempting to purchase firearms.

In late March of this year, he was sentenced to 12 months behind bars for a firearms possession case. On Wednesday, May 1, his lawyer Bradford Cohen called out Miami officials for trying to "stack" Kodak's sentencing in his gun case, meaning that the time Kodak can potentially spend in prison will run consecutively, instead of concurrently.
