AceShowbiz - The bus driver in Lil Wayne's 2015 bus shooting has alleged Birdman and Young Thug struck secret deals with prosecutors to get them off the hook.
In papers obtained by TMZ, Alvin Lewis questions why prosecutors in Cobb County, Georgia described Birdman, real name Bryan Christopher Brooks, and Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, as alleged co-conspirators in the reported shooter's indictment, but did not bring any charges against them.
He claims there is overwhelming evidence of complicity between Jimmy Winfrey, the reported gunman, and the rappers - from phone call records and recorded confessions, to promises of payment - and is demanding to know why they've never been indicted.
The driver claims he suffered extensive injuries in April, 2015 when the vehicle was shot up in Atlanta, after a dispute between Wayne and Winfrey boiled over following a concert, adding that, although prosecutors have kept him informed about Winfrey's case, he's rebuffed whenever he asks about Birdman and Young Thug.
Winfrey is currently being retried, because the Georgia Supreme Court overturned his 2015 conviction, and Lewis is now asking the judge to force the Cobb County District Attorney's Office to turn over any information related to deals that might have been struck between prosecutors and Birdman or Young Thug.
Lewis previously sued Young Thug, Birdman, rapper Peewee Roscoe, Cash Money Records and Young Money Records bosses over the incident.
The pair have yet to respond to Lewis' comments.
