Blasting his former friend ahead of virtual songwriting battle, the 'Video Phone' co-producer disses the 'Umbrella' co-writer over his relationship with Beyonce's husband.

AceShowbiz - Sean Garrett and The-Dream were throwing shade at each other ahead of their virtual songwriting battle. Drumming up excitement for the Battle of the Songwriters on Saturday night, March 28, the two took to social media to fuel their fight and at one point Sean blasted his former friend over his relationship with Jay-Z.

"I'm not out here tap dancing for none of these n****s. That's what you do. You be riding n****s d**ks, wearing their chains and all that type of goofy s**t. That's what you do," the Atlanta producer said of Christina Milian's former husband. He added, "I love Jay-Z, and I love Beyonce, but I'm not out here sucking that n****s d**k, that's what you do."

Judging from his respect for Jay-Z, it's unlikely that he was outing the Roc Nation founder's gay tryst with Sean. His shade at The-Dream might not be a literal one, but that didn't stop former rap star Joe Budden from weighing on the two songwriter's virtual feud. "I don't think Dream & Sean Garrett like each other very much," so he tweeted on Saturday night.

Sean and The-Dream have contributed to some of the most popular hits of our era and both have had history of working with Beyonce Knowles and/or her husband Jay-Z. Sean teamed up with Swizz Beatz to produce Bey's singles "Ring the Alarm", "Get Me Bodied", "Upgrade U", "Check on It", "Diva" and "Video Phone". As for The-Dream, his songwriting credits include "Me Against the Music" for Britney Spears, "Ride" for Ciara, "Umbrella" for Rihanna, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and "Partition" for Beyonce, "Touch My Body" for Mariah Carey and "Baby" for Justin Bieber.

During the virtual songwriting battle, they dished out their best works, unloading familiar tracks from Jay-Z, Jay Electronica, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and lots of Beyonce. Reacting to the duel, one Twitter user commented, "All I know from this Dream vs Sean Garrett battle is they'll be forever eating off of those Beyoncé royalties and splits. #investment."

"So Dream and Sean Garrett pretty much wrote everything, huh?" an impressed music fan wrote. "So Swizz and Timbaland produced all the classic Hov records. Boi-1da and Hit-Boy produced all the classic Drake records. Sean Garrett and Dream wrote all the classic Beyonce records. Gotta love it," another summed up.
