Defending the 'Look What You Made Me Do' songstress after Kim denied that she and her husband edited the phone call, Tree Paine suggests that the couple pissed off someone who then leaked the full video.

AceShowbiz - After both Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian spoke up on the leaked phone call with Kanye West, now it's the pop superstar's publicist's turn to weigh in on it. On Tuesday, March 24, Tree Paine took to her Twitter page to defend her client and clap back at the reality TV star.

Quoting Kim's claim that she and Kanye never edited a portion of the phone call that the couple first shared in 2016, Tree wrote, "I'm Taylor's publicist and this is my UNEDITED original statement. Btw, when you take parts out, that's editing." She went on asking, "P.S. who did you guys piss off to leak that video?"

Tree also reposted her original 2016 statement in which she stated that Kanye never asked her approval about the lyrics that included references to the "Lover" singer, but he only asked Taylor to release the single on her Twitter page.

Taylor and Kanye's feud reignited in 2016 after the "Black Skinhead" spitter included the lyrics, "I made that b***h famous," on his song "Famous". Taylor felt disrespected and called him out over that, but both Kanye and his wife Kim insisted that the 30-year-old singer/songwriter had given him her permission. Kim even posted a video of their phone call and dubbed Taylor a "snake."

However, the full version of the phone call seemed to back up Taylor's claim. Responding to the leaked video, the country-turned-pop star said on her Instagram Stories that it only proves "that I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call*." She additionally stressed that the call "was illegally recorded," "edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years."

Kim then fired back at Taylor on Twitter, calling her out for her self-serving comments amid the coronavirus pandemic. The reality TV star went on accusing Taylor of lying about Kanye never asking for her permission to release the song.

Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian has also chimed in, praising the aspiring lawyer as writing, "I was about to go take my ass to sleep but then I just saw my sister post a couple tweets... Kim is my f**king lawyer for life!!!!!! My sister AND my lawyer."
