Casanova Apologizes After Backlash for Taking Coronavirus Crisis Lightly: It's Not Cool at All

The Roc Nation star has had a change of heart after insisting that he stayed outside despite the government's warnings, realizing that he put his mother and his family at risk.

AceShowbiz - Casanova has acknowledged his mistake after ignoring the advice to practice social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. Taking to his Instagram post on Monday, March 23, the Roc Nation artist posted a lengthy statement to apologize for taking the matter lightly.

"To all the people who saw my videos over the weekend I want to apologize," so he began his post. "If you know me, you know what I've been thru and that I like to have fun and turn up with my friends."

Casanova admitted he "didn't take this Coronavirus situation seriously until I visited my local hospital Kings county saw for my own see what this virus is doing everybody." Realizing that he put his family, friends and 74-year-old mother "at risk" when she was trying to stop him from being outside, the Bronx emcee said "that isn't something that is cool at all." He added, "And My life would never be the same if I was to lose her to my stupidity,a video shoot."

Casanova also addressed police visit to the set of his music video shoot. "Also I want to say to the @nypd police officers who responded from the 70 precinct I understand that yall were doing your jobs, trying to keep us all healthy and I apologize for putting your health and the health of y'all loved ones at risk as well," he wrote.

He additionally gave a shout-out to those who reminded him for his ignorant act. "I want to say to @cthagod and the folks at @power1051 y'all 100% correct in calling me out.Thanks putting me in my place like mentors are supposed to and for not giving me donkey of the day Even tho I might've deserved it," he said, before telling his followers, "Everybody 'WE INSIDE' and I'm gonna drive y'all crazy on Instagram cause I hate being inside."

Previously on Saturday, Casanova shared a video of him and his entourage on the street in New York City, reportedly to film a music video. "We all test positive for corona," he jokingly said in the video. "We don't give a f**k. We outside. We don't give a f**k." He also announced the music video filming on Instagram Stories.

After people slammed him for seemingly ignoring public health, he posted another video on Sunday, insisting that he would keep going outside because he had to work to pay rent and child support. "As long as this grass needs cutting, as long as I got to pay child supports, as long as I got to pay lawyer fees, I'm the f**k outside. I'm not violating corona. ... I'm working. I'm busy," he said in the video.
