During an interview on 'Today', the 'That Don't Impress Me Much' hitmaker admits that she will never have her old sound back after a combination of Lyme disease and stress robbed her of her voice.

AceShowbiz - Shania Twain has come to terms with her "new voice" after two open-throat surgeries.

Lyme disease and stress combined to rob the country star of her voice and she spent years reconstructing it, so she could get back onstage and belt out her hits.

"The surgery is quite invasive," the "You're the One" singer tells "Today". "It's given me more room to play, to be honest... I'm never gonna have my old voice again and that's just the way it is. I'm OK with that. I've found a new voice and I like it."

And Twain admits there are some things about her new sound she really likes.

"I have gravel... (and) I think it's kind of sexy... I don't mind it," she adds.
