AceShowbiz - Lewis Capaldi appeared to confirm his fledgling romance with Scottish student Catherine Halliday on Wednesday night, February 26, 2020 as the pair headed out for a romantic dinner together.

The 23-year-old singer has been open about his disastrous love life in the past, but his luck appears to have changed for the better, judging by pictures of him out with stunning 21-year-old Catherine.

The pair enjoyed a meal at high street restaurant Prezzo in Lewis' hometown of West Lothian, Scotland, before the star drove Catherine home.

"They were being very flirty and seemed to be having fun - both laughing and joking a lot, touching hands and being tactile," an onlooker told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "They were holding hands as they left and went for the car, and Lewis posed for a couple of photos with fans and then climbed into a Fiesta and drove off."

"They were both laughing their heads off and pulling faces because he nearly knocked it as he pulled away."

A source close to the "Someone You Loved" singer, who had unsuccessfully been looking for love on dating app Tinder, added that he and Catherine were still in the "early days" of their romance, after meeting through mutual friends.

"They have decided to keep things quiet for now and just see how things end up working out," the insider said. "They get on great and support each other, but neither of them want to put any pressure on it at all at the moment. They're just enjoying their time together."
