Some of Catelynn's online followers gush over the little girl Novalee's new look in the comment section of her post, though some others school the MTV personality for the decision.

AceShowbiz - Catelyn Lowell is not here for hate comments about her and her parenting. The "Teen Mom" star has taken to social media to speak out against mom shamers who criticized her decision to dye her daughter Novalee's hair.

The backlash arrived after the former MTV personality shared on her Instagram account on Wednesday, February 5 a picture of her 5-year-old girl sporting a pink streak on her hair. The picture saw Novalee sitting in front of the mirror in what seemed to be a salon while holding a stuffed animal.

"Thank you so much @stephanie.atmospherehairstudio for making Novas rainbow hair come true!!!" so the 27-year-old wrote in the caption.

Some of her online followers gushed over the little girl's new look. "Super cute! Cool girl," Catelynn's "Teen Mom" co-star Cheyenne Floyd raved in the comment section. Meanwhile, Gary Shirley's wife, Kristina Shirley added, "Absolutely beautiful, Nova! [My daughter] Emilee would be so jealous of your hair."

However, some others schooled the TV star for the decision. Attempting to stop the criticism, Catelynn wrote, "(Calm down y'all it's not her hair that's dyed) we added some colored hair."

Catelynn was not the only celebrity who got some flak for coloring her daughter's hair. Prior to this, Jessica Simpson was mom-shamed after dying the ends of her 7-year-old daughter Maxwell's pink. Singer Pink, however, came to her defense in an Instagram post featuring her 8-year-old daughter Willow sporting a blue hair.

"I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven-year-old get her hair colored," the 39-year-old Grammy winner captioned the snap which she uploaded the following month. "So we thought we'd share what we did yesterday. #bluehairdontcare #getyourownkids #parentpoliceareactuallyjustlonelysadpeople."
