During his appearance on 'Drink Champs', the 'Funeral' rapper tells host NORE that he only found out that they were apparently at odds after listening to Pusha's 'Exodus 23:1'.

AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne is currently promoting his recent album "Funeral" and it would be natural for him to do a press run with rare interviews. During a new interview, Wayne once again proved that he had no interest in what's going on outside of sports and himself as he revealed he didn't know he's beefing with Pusha T.
During his appearance on "Drink Champs", the rapper was asked about the origin of the feud between him and Pusha. He went on revealing that he only found out that they were apparently at odds after listening to Pusha's "Exodus 23:1". He told NORE that he had no clue what went wrong in their relationship especially because he was on the "Grindin' " remix.
"I was like, 'man.' [Wayne's friend] was like, 'What you gon' do? You gon' come back at Pusha?' I'm like, 'What you mean? I'd love to do a song with him,' " he recalled before his friend told him that he was at the receiving end on the diss track.
He was later asked about rumors of Rick Ross trying to get him and Pusha on "Maybach Music VI." Weezy responded, "I'm not sure. I don't even know what record. I swear to God."
The beef between Wayne and Pusha started back in 2006 after the former appeared on the front cover of Vibe magazine rocking apparel from A Bathing Ape, as well as wearing BAPE clothes in his "Hustler Musik" music video. The Clipse, who were consisted of Pusha and No Malice, later took a jab at Wayne on their song "Mr. Me Too" on which they rapped, "N****s bite the style from the shoes to the watches."
As he was asked if he started wearing BAPE after he saw The Clipse did, Wayne claimed at that time, "I ain't gotta talk about no coke nor no f***ing BAPEs. I got my own shoe out n***a, that OG collection Reebok n***a. I got my own jeans out n***a, W. Two Us, I've got my name—the W is gonna be on your bitch a**. Aight?"
