Opening up about mourning over the loss of his father Rocky Johnson, the 'Jumanji: The Next Level' star says he feels 'grateful and moved emotionally' after his dad's passing.

AceShowbiz - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson might have lost his father to a sudden heart attack, but felt like he has a "new relationship" with him. The "Jumanji: The Next Level" star came to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, as a part of Oprah Winfrey's 2020 Vision Tour, and opened up about Rocky Johnson's passing.

Sitting down with the media mogul, the 47-year-old wrestler-turned-actor got candid about how he dealt with his father's death. "The day he died, that night I went to bed, I felt so grateful and moved," he recalled. "Because I realized, 'oh wow, I have a new relationship with you. Clean slate. No regrets. No pain. No complications. Just me and you.' "

The "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" actor went on to discuss about how the "complicated" bond between him and her late father, who was "not an 'I love you guy,' " affected his relationship with his three daughters 18-year-old Simone Alexandra, 4-year-old Jasmine and 1-year-old Tiana Gia. "My dad loved me with the small capacity with which he was capable of," he confided.

"With my daughters, I want to be as full and and as present as I can," the husband of Lauren Hashian continued. "I want my daughters to know I love them truly unconditionally. As I told my 18-year-old daughter, Simone, 'I love you. I'm going to tell you I love you every day.' But I also told her, 'I'm unattached. You don't have to text me back. It's without condition.' "

During the chat, Oprah offered a toast to Rocky with tequila from Dwayne's tequila company, Teremana. "I'd like to make a toast to your father, the man who helped make you the man you are," she said. "May your relationship with him in the beyond be stronger, more profound and bring you all the love that you've always deserved."

Rocky passed away on January 15 at the age of 75 after "a massive heart attack" due to "a deep vein thrombosis" he had. Days later, Dwayne turned to Instagram to address the matter. "As you know. I lost my old man a few days ago," he said in a heartfelt video he uploaded on January 19.

"I lost him just like that, didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him," he expressed his regret. "I'd give anything right now to give him a big ole hug and a big ole kiss before he crossed over and just say thank you and I love you and I respect you. But I didn't get a chance to say that, but such is life, as many of you know."
