Madonna Calls Off Another Lisbon Show Due to 'Ongoing Injuries'

The Material Girl is still too ill to perform so she is forced to cancel a second show since kicking off her Madame X European tour at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon.

AceShowbiz - Madonna has cancelled a second show in Lisbon, Portugal as she struggles to cope with pain from "ongoing injuries."

Her tour promoters at "Everything Is New" have issued a statement on Facebook apologising to fans, insisting the cancellation was "unforeseen and last-minute."

Wednesday evening's January 22, 2020 gig was the second show Madonna has cancelled since kicking off her European tour at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon, her adopted home, on January 12, 2020.

"Sorry I had to cancel tonight," the 61 year old wrote on Instagram after the first cancellation, "but I must listen to my body and rest!"

According to the promoter, the "Like a Prayer" singer’s final show of eight scheduled in Lisbon on Thursday is expected to go on as planned and no other dates in Europe are currently affected.

Madonna has now cancelled nine shows in total on the Madame X Tour in New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami and Lisbon, citing production issues, injuries and scheduling limitations.
