Filmmaker Julian Fellowes is being presented with question about his follow-up plans on the period drama during a recent Television Critics Association press tour event.

AceShowbiz - "Downton Abbey" creator Julian Fellowes has confirmed reports he'll start work on a movie sequel later this year.

Asked for his plans to follow up last year's "Downton Abbey" film at a recent Television Critics Association press tour event, the writer revealed he wants to focus on HBO drama series "The Gilded Age" before returning to the world of the Crawleys and the Talbots.

"Give us a break, gov," he responded to the question. "Not until I've finished the scripts for 'The Gilded Age'."

The 10-part "The Gilded Age", starring Christine Baranski, Amanda Peet and Cynthia Nixon, is currently in pre-production.

The majority of the "Downton Abbey" cast have made it very clear in interviews they would be delighted to return to Highclere Castle in Hampshire, England - where the TV series and film were shot - for a sequel.
