AceShowbiz - Heidi Klum may no longer serve as one of the judges on "America's Got Talent", but she obviously has no bad blood with the NBC talent show. The model recently was asked about her opinion on the firing of Gabrielle Union over alleged "toxic" workplace culture, and Heidi had nothing but good things to say about her time on "America's Got Talent".
"I've only had an amazing experience," she said following a Television Critics Association panel on Tuesday, January 14 for her new Amazon fashion-competition series, "Making the Cut". "I can't speak for (Gabrielle). I didn't experience the same thing."
The 46-year-old model went on saying, "To me, everyone treats you with the utmost respect. I've never seen anything that was weird or hurtful."
"Six years I was there. I loved it. Of course, there's always this cat and dog fight, but this is fun. … I mean also it's like, 'Everyone relax a little bit.' For me, being on television, I want to entertain people. I want people to have a good time," the former "Project Runway" host explained. "I want people to, like, get away from their life for two hours and just have fun and enjoy."
Heidi went on saying that former fellow judge Simon Cowell would make jokes a lot. However, she knew it well that they were just that jokes.
Previous report suggested that Gabrielle was fired for speaking up about racist remarks made on set. The wife of Dwyane Wade also allegedly received complaints from staff that her hairstyles were "too black" with another report claiming that she and Simon had a tense relationship over his smoking habit.
NBC is currently investigating the claims about the toxic culture on set. On December 1, NBC, Fremantle and Cowell's company, Syco, said in a statement, "We remain committed to ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees and take very seriously any questions about workplace culture. We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate."
