AceShowbiz - Fans of The CW's "Arrowverse" gets a pleasant surprise on the fourth instalment of the "Crisis On Infinite Earths" crossover series. In the final two hours of the 4-hour event, which aired on Tuesday, January 14, viewers could see TV's The Flash (Grant Gustin) met its big-screen version (Ezra Miller) for the first time ever.

The "Justice League" star made a cameo as Barry Allen with him appearing in the very final minutes of the part of the crossover, after the crisis had supposedly been solved. The two met at STAR Labs while sporting their The Flash gear, much to their confusion.

"Hello? What the hell is this?" Ezra's The Flash asked equally confused Grant's The Flash, who responded, "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I'll tell you that when you tell where...here...is," Ezra's The Flash said, before he asked Grant if he was doing a cosplay and wanted to take a picture with him. His excitement was interrupted by Grant's The Flash, who asked, "You don't know…?"

Ezra's The Flash interestingly doesn't call himself The Flash, so he was confused when Grant's The Flash mentioned that he was also The Flash. The two were further confused when they found out that they had the same name.

Amid the confusion, the two spent some time admiring each other's costumes. Before they figured out what was happening, Ezra's The Flash started fading away, "I told Victor this was possible…," he said before vanisihing, seemingly referring to "Justice League" character Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

The crossover marks the first one for DC's TV-based Arrowverse and the DC Extended Universe. When asked how he combine the two with Ezra's cameo, "Arrowverse" executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed to Variety, "We were series wrapped on 'Arrow', and we were wrapped on the whole crossover. We were in post and some episodes were locked, and some were soft-locked."

I got a phone call from [Warner Bros. boss] Peter Roth saying, 'I know you're locked, but can you put Ezra into the crossover?' " he went on saying. "And I said, 'Yes.' And he said, 'How, you're series wrapped? And you're wrapped on the crossover.' And I said, 'Yeah, I know, but if you're telling me Ezra Miller can be in the crossover, I can make it happen.' "

He also said that Grant "was incredibly enthusiastic and on-board with" the idea of Ezra making a cameo. "And then we got on the phone with Ezra Miller and told him the scene I had written and he was completely into it. And we just went. We put together a unit of the 'Flash' crew on the 'Flash' set [since 'Arrow's' team, which had produced the rest of the hour, was gone]. And much to our surprise, no one noticed Ezra Miller was in Vancouver and no one leaked it from the crew, which we appreciate. So we were able to keep it a surprise," he added.
