Despite the breakup, the Memphis rapper shares in a new interview that he still has immense feelings for the Hot Girl Summer, saying, 'It didn't work but I always wish her the best.'

AceShowbiz - MoneyBagg Yo has shed some light on his breakup with Megan Thee Stallion. In a recent interview with Ebro Darden to promote his latest album "Time Served", MoneyBagg addressed the split and explained what drove them apart.
"What hapenned with Megan? Was it being in public that made it hard or did you f**k up?" Ebro pressed the rapper. Not hesitating, MoneyBagg admitted, "Two strong personalities just bumping heads a lot." He also revealed that timing was a big factor in their separation.
Despite the breakup, the Memphis rapper shared that he still had immense feelings for Megan. "It didn't work but I always wish her the best. I'm really proud of her. The Megan I know and the Megan ya'll know are two different things. It's still love, we just didn't see eye to eye," he said.
The "Relentless Again" rapper also said that he got the "Hot Girl Summer" raptress a puppy dog to keep her company while on the road. "That's why I ended up getting a dog for her, cause I feel it'll still be a part of me," he added.
While MoneyBagg appeared to have a soft spot for his ex, it seemed like it was different for Megan. The rising star rapped in her and Normani Kordei's a collaborative single “Diamonds†for the "Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn" soundtrack, "Broke up with my ex, uh, dumped him in a text/ Would wish you the best, but I already left."
Megan and MoneyBagg started dating in early 2019. The former couple used to post steaming pictures on social media as well as gifting each other with expensive jewelry. Later in December, Megan sparked split rumors after she declared that she was single and even unfollowed each other on Instagram.
MoneyBagg is currently dating Ari Fletcher. He was romantically linked to Ari since early December following his separation from Megan. The new lovebirds never addressed their relationship but they were often spotted at the same events in the past few weeks. After playing coy for weeks, the couple finally went public in Atlanta as they posed together.
