Fifty years after visiting West Side Leadership Academy, the members of The Jackson 5 make their return to see students' live demonstration of their talents in orchestra, dance, voice and recording.

AceShowbiz - Jackie Jackson and his brother Tito Jackson returned to Indiana for a hometown performance at a school they visited half a century ago.

The Jackson 5 legends made the trek for the first time in 50 years on Wednesday (January 08) to see students at West Side Leadership Academy in their native town of Gary.

The stars, who put on a show at the high school in 1971 as part of family band the Jackson 5 for their TV special "Goin' Back to Indiana" also toured the performing arts classrooms, before being treated to a live demonstration of the orchestra, dance, voice, and recording lessons the pupils have taken part in.

"You guys are so good," Jackie gushed while hugging student singer Taylor Iman, who performed the band's hit "I'll Be There", according to The Northwest Indiana Times.

The singers also shared advice about how to make it in the music and entertainment industries.

"You have to work hard," Tito advised, while Jackie encouraged the kids to "follow their dreams and never give up."

The Jackson 5 also featured siblings Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Michael Jackson, who died at 50 in 2009.
