In an interview on 'Watch What Happens Live', the 'Girls Trip' actress discusses her belated bat mitzvah with host Andy Cohen and explains why Billy Crystal 'means the world' to her.

AceShowbiz - Tiffany Haddish has been learning all about Judaism and Jewish culture from the rabbi sister of fellow comedienne Sarah Silverman.

The "Girls Trip" star only recently discovered her father was an Eritrean Jew, and ever since, she has immersed herself in all things Jewish - even celebrating her 40th birthday in December (19) by throwing herself a belated bat mitzvah.

The traditional coming-of-age bash boasted a host of celebrity guests, and the ceremony was presided over by Silverman's sister, Rabbi Susan.

Asked if Susan is anything like her funnywoman sister, Haddish told presenter Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live", "She's like, conservative, but scary over the top."

Haddish revealed the Silvermans had been key to her religious studies, as were Chelsea Handler and Billy Crystal, who was recruited to perform the prayer call up to the Torah, known as an aliyah, during the bat mitzvah.

"He did my aliyah and I chose him because to me, he means the world to me, and I love him very, very much," Haddish explained.

"I look up to him a lot and he's taught me a lot."
