A spokesperson for the organization reveals that the treat targeted the Los Angeles and New York offices, but the police have determined it is 'not sufficiently credible.'

AceShowbiz - Police have given bosses at the Screen Actors Guild offices in New York and Los Angeles the all-clear after receiving their second bomb threat in three days.

Officials at the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) evacuated both buildings on Thursday (January 09) and called in authorities, but no signs of explosives were found.

A spokesperson for the organisation tells Variety, "Earlier this morning, we received a telephone threat targeting our Los Angeles and New York national offices. We notified law enforcement and evacuated the buildings."

"The police department investigated and has determined that the threat is not sufficiently credible. We have returned to our offices."

Employees received similar security threats on Tuesday, when the two headquarters were again cleared out amid safety concerns. Those bomb threats also appeared to be hoaxes.

The latest incident took place just 10 days before the 2020 SAG Awards, which are scheduled to be held in Los Angeles on 19 January.
