The 'Empire' actress kicks off 2010 by paying tribute to her pet, the 'sweet, dainty lady, Peaches,' who recently passed away, saying she and boyfriend missed her.

AceShowbiz - Actress Gabourey Sidibe's 2020 has started on a sombre note following the death of one of her pet cats.
Hours after celebrating the New Year, the "Empire" star took to Instagram to share the sad news with fans.
Alongside a series of photos of her furry friend, Sidibe wrote, "With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to this sweet, dainty lady, Peaches."
"Our pets aren't around for long, to remind us to love them, each other and ourselves entirely while we still can. Thank you Peach for your protection and your perfection. You are missed by your dad and me and of course, (other cat) Aaron who is doing his best to console us. We love you Peaches."
The news emerged shortly after Sidibe expressed her love for her boyfriend, Brandon Frankel, online, following a gushing dedication he posted on Instagram in honour of his "Queen" to mark the New Year.
"I love you more and more every single day- which seems impossible, but continually amazes me," he wrote. "Here's to 2020- and thank you for loving me so unconditionally. I love being your forever-Dork."
Responding to the high praise on Thursday, January 2, 2020, Sidibe replied, "You're my favorite Love Song. You're the cherry on top of this last decade and the foundation of the next..."
"You make me happier than I've ever been. I'm so glad we found each other..."
The couple has been linked since last spring 2019.
