The 'Hot Right Now' singer was convinced one of the performers behind the elaborate costume on the singing competition was a member of the British royal family.

AceShowbiz - Rita Ora was convinced a member of the British royal family was competing in her new show, "The Masked Singer U.K."

The star appears as a judge on the programme alongside chat show host Jonathan Ross, TV presenter Davina McCall, and "The Hangover" actor Ken Jeong, which sees masked celebrities compete to pull off the best performance as the judges attempt to guess their identity.

When asked who was her most outlandish guess as to the performer behind the elaborate costume, the "Poison" star said at the show's launch, "Probably one of the royals!"

"The costumes make it impossible to guess the identity of the performer and the intensity of the reveal is what makes it such an amazing show," she said. "The level of detail from head to toe is extraordinary, so it's distracting!"

Although the "Hot Right Now" singer admitted she was "mesmerised" by some of the contestants, she insisted her musical background worked to her advantage on the panel.

"I relied on my love for music so I really was thinking and listening to the voice, the tempo, the tone, the texture, even sometimes how they breathe," she explained. "Being a singer I really pick up on these things, so that really helped me out. And to be fair, I did get the most right in this whole competition, I'm just saying."

"The Masked Singer U.K.", hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, debuts January 4.
