First Lady Melania Trump has also responded to the president's bizarre attack on the 16-year-old climate change activist, saying that she and her husband 'often communicate differently.'

AceShowbiz - Michelle Obama spreads some love to teenage activist Greta Thunberg this holiday season, amid Donald Trump's attack on the 16-year-old girl. The former FLOTUS has sent an encouraging message after the president mocked Greta for her TIME magazine's "Person of the Year" cover.

"@GretaThunberg, don't let anyone dim your light," the wife of former president Barack Obama posted on her Twitter page. "Like the girls I've met in Vietnam and all over the world, you have so much to offer us all. Ignore the doubters and know that millions of people are cheering you on."

While she didn't mention Trump at all, Michelle's tweet came after Trump attacked Greta for being named TIME's "Person of the Year". Alluding that a teenager shouldn't be concerned about climate change, the president tweeted on Thursday, December 12, "So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!"

Trump's re-election campaign team also jumped in the online trolling by editing the head of Trump on Greta's body on TIME's "Person of the Year" cover. "When it comes to keeping his promises, there's only one Person Of The Year," so the team wrote in the caption.

Greta then responded by changing her Twitter bio to describe her as "a teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend," which was a clear jab at Trump.

First Lady Melania Trump has also responded to Trump's attack on Greta. In a statement, her spokeswoman told news outlets, "BeBest is the First Lady's initiative, and she will continue to use it to do all she can to help children." Indicating that she doesn't agree with her husband on the matter, the statement continued, "It is no secret that the President and First Lady often communicate differently - as most married couples do."

It also compared Greta's situation to Barron Trump's after Melania vented her frustration against a legal scholar who referenced her and Trump's son in criticizing the president. "Their son is not an activist who travels the globe giving speeches. He is a 13-year-old who wants and deserves privacy," so it stated, alluding that Greta should've expected such bullying for getting herself in public to raise awareness about climate change.
