Kevin Dickson's 'Post Famous' has been linked to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star since it revolves around a heroine who sells her sex tape for millions of dollars on the orders of her mother.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian's former friend Kevin Dickson has reportedly penned a new novel based on the star's rise to fame.

The tabloid editor was a longtime confidant of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, and previously released "Blind Item" and "Guilty Pleasure" as thinly veiled accounts of his experiences alongside Paris Hilton during her rise to fame in the '00s.

According to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, Dickson's latest tome, "Post Famous", is led by a heroine similar to the star who sells her sex tape for millions of dollars on the orders of her mother.

The author was close with Kardashian from the mid-'00s until her 2011 divorce from sportsman Kris Humphries and acted as her go-between with various magazines - which is mirrored in excerpts of the book obtained by Page Six.

Kardashian's infamous sex tape with Ray J was released in 2007 by Vivid Entertainment, and its founder Steven Hirsch has denied persistent rumours that the reality star's mum Kris Jenner was involved in its sale as "nonsense."

However, he did confirm they paid Kim to release the footage, and would not dispute rumours her fee was as much as $5 million (£4.2 million) — despite a lawyer for the star insisting the figure was "greatly inflated."

Jenner has also denied leaking the sex tape.
