When asked what was the issue of her remarks that she made a few years ago, the 'Love and Hip Hop: New York' star says, 'I think it was the wording. I feel like people miscontrued it.'

AceShowbiz - Cyn Santana offered some explanation about some past racial remarks. The "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star previously landed in hot water after saying that "black guys cater to us Spanish girls." During her appearance on "The Real", she took it as the opportunity to clarify the comment.

"I think what happened was, we were talking about our experiences with men and different men, races, and ethnicities and comparing our experiences," Cyn told the co-hosts. "I think what happened was I poorly articulated myself and I irresponsibly repeated something that I heard my entire life."

"This is a tough moment for me," she admitted. "I feel like I poorly articulated myself and I irresponsibly repeated something that I heard throughout my teenage years which was, the whole, 'oh, black men love Spanish women, or Latinos,' you know. And I think people took that message wrongly. That's not what I meant."

When asked what was the issue of her remarks, Cyn said, "I think it was the wording. I feel like people miscontrued it." She continued, "I acknowledge what I said and how people perceived it and how we can hurt them."

Cyn made the comments a few years back during her appearance Angela Yee's "Lip Service" podcast. It went viral in January, prompting her to apologize publicly on Twitter. "That's a lie those weren’t the words. how would I know how a black woman gets treated in a relationship? I'm not in it," she tweeted.

"Old a** interview, my young a** worded something poorly and today in social media everything gets taken completely out of context smh," she added.
