AceShowbiz - Dwyane Wade must be proud to have a family whose members are supporting each other. After he stepped up to shut down critics of his son Zion's apparent transition, his eldest son Zaire has now also shown his support for his little brother.
On Tuesday, December 3, Zaire took to his Instagram account to share a picture of him with his 11-year-old brother. Tagging "Family First" as the photo's location, the aspiring basketball player wrote in the caption, "We didn't ask for y'all opinion."
Many have since supported the family and are in awe of Zaire's love for his brother. "Family Forever," one commented on Zaire's post. "Keep all unsolicited opinions!!!" another agreed with Zaire. Some others simply left heart emojis in the comment section.
Zaire's post comes several days after Dwyane's wife Gabrielle Union shared on Instagram for Thanksgiving a family picture showing Zion sporting long pointy acrylic nails which were painted white. Some of her followers took issue with the boy's trendy manicure style, thinking that the grammar school boy may be doing too much at his young age.
"So sad these boys turning into girls," one wrote. Another commented, "Ya got this lil black man with tips on smh ya need to do better." A third commenter exclaimed, "Y'all really saying this is cool? Like for real????????? Wtf not my Son ain't no way!!!!" Other criticisms read, "This Is not cool," "Horrible parents," and "This is an abomination."
Responding to the hate comments, Dwyane later took to Twitter to address the controversy. "I've seen some post-thanksgiving hate on social about my family photo," he wrote. "Stupidity is apart of this world we live in - so i get it. But here's the thing - I've been chosen to lead my family not y'all. So we will continue to be us and support each other with pride, love & a smile!"
In another comment, the former Miami Heat star explained to his online followers, "As a parent my only goal is that my kids feel that i see them, love them and support them."
