Calling her journey to regain her pre-pregnancy body a 'humbling experience,' the 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' actress admits that the weight doesn't come off easily.

AceShowbiz - Losing baby weight is proved to be such a challenge for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The former Victoria's Secret Angel has gone candid about her struggle in getting back in shape after gaining 55 lbs. while being pregnant with her first child.

When sitting down with fellow model Ashley Graham for an episode of "Pretty Big Deal" podcast, the 32-year-old claimed to have a new-found understanding about others' love-hate relationship with working out. "I will say working out in the gym and looking back at myself and feeling like s**t, I was like, now I understand how hard it is for some people to get to the gym," she confessed.

Sharing her own hardship, the fiancee of Jason Statham recalled, "I would look in the mirror and I was like, I have 35-40 lbs. to lose. And I go to the gym, go to the gym, go to the gym, it's not falling off, it's not coming off." Despite her initial frustration, she found the experience "very humbling."

Rosie admitted she gained more than she expected because she "enjoyed" herself and "let the reins go" during the pregnancy. "You know it's a new experience so you're kind of like 'well, let's see how this goes.' And six months in I was like 'What! Like, this is crazy.' It was an intense journey and the same thing," she explained. "It was so magical to see."

During the chat, the "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" actress also addressed the criticisms she received seven months after giving birth when paparazzi snaps from her swimwear line photo shoot surfaced online. "I was kind of taken aback by some of the comments that people had … and the narrative around how women are supposed to look," she confided.

"It was just shocking to see someone write, 'Another Body Ruined After a Baby.' I was like, 'What the f**k?' Sure, I haven't bounced back, it's seven months later, but like… I was quiet for a couple days but you get on," she added. "It makes you stronger."

To other mothers struggling with shedding their baby weight, the model reminded, "Everybody's body is different, everyone is on their own journey, and I really want every mother to really focus on herself but also the time with her child and it'll come, it'll happen, and everybody gets back to a place where they feel good again, if not better. Because I feel better, and I feel a different respect for my body than I did before."
