AceShowbiz - Scooter Braun apparently doesn't want no part in Taylor Swift's new issues with Big Machine Records. It's been reported that the music agent is "frustrated" with the way things are handled by Scott Borchetta after the country-turned-pop superstar claimed the two men barred her from performing her old songs at the 2019 American Music Awards.
One source told E! News, "Scooter is frustrated because his name is being dragged in the mud. He doesn't run Big Machine or have operation control of the company. He hasn't taken part in these negotiations. This fight with Taylor is not something Scooter agrees with." The insider also claimed that Scooter had been trying to get in contact with the blonde beauty, but she had never returned his calls.
Earlier this week, Taylor claimed on Instagram Stories that she was prevented from performing her old songs at the 2019 AMAs as Scooter owned the singer's first six albums. Many have come to her defense as both Scooter and Scott denied the claim and instead accused the singer of "owing millions of dollars and multiple assets to our company." They also said she rejected "the invitations to speak" with them.
As for how she's going to deliver her performance at the upcoming event, HollywoodLife.com alleged that the "Shake It Off" singer is "now figuring out all the details on everything and what she will actually perform and say when she accepts the award but it has come to a point now where she knows that it will be her most raw and real performance ever."
The source went on saying, "It is not going to be just a regular award show performance, she wants this to be the most memorable one she has ever done. It is important that she makes a statement with her performance and her words because it is going to echo loudly in the music industry and she is ready to make a statement."
The 2019 American Music Awards is going to be broadcast live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24.
