Karine says she's 'looking for a lawyer' to start her divorce proceedings with Paul, just a week after he posted throwback wedding photos to mark their 2 years or marriage.

AceShowbiz - "90 Day Fiance: The Other Way" couple Paul Staehle and Karine Martins are calling it quits after two years of marriage. On Tuesday, November 12, Karine confirmed she's divorcing her husband after he hinted at their split on Instagram. Asked about whether the news is true, Karine told Us Weekly, "Yes, I am looking for a lawyer now."
Paul broke the news via Instagram Stories on Monday, posting a GIF of "Rick and Morty" character Jerry Smith crying, with a message written in Portuguese which translated into "Karine started divorce proceedings" in Manaus, Brazil. He also posted a video showing their 7-month-old son Pierre Martins Staehle playing with a toy. He said to his son in the video that "daddy’s gonna miss you."
On Tuesday, he posted a lengthy statement addressing their split. He noted that he and Karine "are only doing cameos together until midnight tonight. After that I will be unbookable temporarily." Concerning about Karine and their son's well-being, he added, "I will probably go up [to] the Amazon to try to convince her to live with Pierre in [the] USA with or without me. I just want the best possible life for my son."
He also denied that the pair opened a GoFundMe page asking for donation after their home in Brazil was burglarized. "People asking about a GoFundMe over the burglary. No we are not creating one. Or filing any type of insurance claim," he clarified.
Hoping that their divorce will be amicable, he concluded the statement with, "I have to get back to work soon so I pray this ends as positivity as possible."
Paul and Karine tied the knot in 2017 after they met online. They welcomed their child, Pierre, in March after Karine suffered two miscarriages. The couple's relationship, however, has been through several ups and downs as documented on the shows "90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days" and "90 Day Fiance: The Other Way". In September, Paul wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post that Karine "asked me to remove our photos" and also "let everyone know that she doesn't want me in her life." He added, "Guess I need a lawyer."
The divorce announcement came just a week after the couple celebrated their 2 year wedding anniversary. Paul marked it by posting several throwback photos from their wedding day and wrote in the caption, "Happy 2 year anniversary @staehlekarine and our never ending rollercoaster of a journey."
