While Bruce takes away the Best Narration prize and Peter nails the Best Director accolade, 'Apollo 11' dominates by collecting a total of five trophies from the New York prizegiving.

AceShowbiz - Bruce Springsteen and Peter Jackson were celebrating on Sunday, November 10 after emerging victorious at the Critics' Choice Documentary Awards.

Concert special "Western Stars", which Springsteen co-directed, earned him the Best Narration prize at the Brooklyn, New York prizegiving, where historical film "Apollo 11" led all winners with five accolades, including Best Documentary Feature and Best Editing for director Todd Douglas Miller.

"Lord of the Rings" moviemaker Jackson was named Best Director for "They Shall Not Grow Old" in a tie with "American Factory"'s Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert, while "Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice" was unveiled as Best Music Documentary, and "Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am", about the acclaimed late novelist, was declared Best Biographical Documentary.

"The Biggest Little Farm" picked up Best Cinematography, and there was also a big honour for filmmaker Frederick Wiseman, who was presented with the D.A. Pennebaker Award for lifetime achievement.
