Gerald Hill was found guilty by default in October 2018 after ignoring the 'Everything Is Everything' singer's lawsuit over his failure to repay a $65,000 loan he got from her in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Hip-hop star Lauryn Hill is demanding immediate access to her cousin's financial records in a bid to help her collect on an unpaid loan.

Gerald Hill was slapped with a breach of contract lawsuit last year (18) for allegedly failing to repay a $65,000 (£50,500) loan he had received from the singer/rapper in 2017.

Lauryn claimed her relative had been made well aware that if he didn't return the funds within the agreed time frame, he would be responsible for the loan, lawyers' fees, and other costs incurred through court action, which she began pursuing when he missed his first payment.

He reportedly ignored the "Everything Is Everything" hitmaker's lawsuit and was found guilty by default in October, 2018, with a New Jersey judge ordering Gerald to repay the full amount of the loan, plus additional interest and damages.

Lauryn has since had to return to court to seek further help in forcing her cousin to obey the legal order and answer subpoenas regarding his finances, income, and assets, according to legal papers obtained by The Blast.

The case continues.
