The Bruce Banner of MCU hopes the famed filmmaker will get to watch the latest Marvel movie one day to see its homage to the cinema that the director has helped create in the past.

AceShowbiz - Mark Ruffalo has hit back at Martin Scorsese's recent comments about Marvel movies, insisting the "heart and humanity" of the film's characters make them cinema.
The filmmaker's controversial comments that Marvel movies are "not cinema" sparked widespread debate, with hordes of stars from the franchise weighing in. Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk in the films, is the latest to defend the comic book franchise, telling the audience at the Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday, November 3 that the movies have something unique in their storylines.
"What really speaks to people about these movies, I think, is the heart and humanity of characters," Ruffalo said, as he prepared to present the Hollywood Blockbuster Award to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and VP of Film Production Victoria Alonso. "That's what makes Avengers: Endgame so powerful to witness - these characters that care about and reckon with the world around them... to watch them struggle and survive and sometimes even say goodbye. That's what makes it cinema."
Elaborating backstage to Entertainment Tonight, Ruffalo explained that he doesn't hold a grudge against Scorsese about the comments, and hopes he will one day get to watch "Avengers: Endgame".
"I've worked with Marty. I love Marty," he said. "I hope he gets to see the film one day because so many of us as filmmakers have really actually stolen from him and learned so much from him. I think if he sees it, he'll see what a kind of homage it is to the cinema that he's created in the past."
