Friends and followers have since been paying their condolences, with sportscaster Mike Hill writing in the comment section of one of her tribute posts, 'Always here for you, Nik. In my prayers.'

AceShowbiz - Nicole Murphy is grieving. The 51-year-old model took to Instagram on Monday, November 4 to reveal that her mother, Ellen Mitchell, had died, alongside a picture of the deceased lady and her husband, Eddie T. Mitchell.

Underneath the beautiful photo, Nicole wrote, "Today I lost the most beautiful person in the world to me my mom. I love you so much. Thank you for all the beautiful times we had together. Now you can Rest in Peace with dad." The ex-wife of Eddie Murphy additionally put some hashtags that read, "Pure love," and "You will be missed."

One post apparently wasn't enough for Nicole to show how heartbroken she was over her mother's death because later on, she paid another tribute along with a series of photos of her and Ellen. One of the images saw a young Nicole and her family celebrating Christmas together, as another showed Ellen smiling happily to the camera. "Words can't express how much I miss my best friend. I love you mommy...," so she wrote in the caption.

Friends and followers have since been paying their condolences. Mike Hill commented, "Always here for you, Nik. In my prayers," while WNBA player Lisa Leslie wrote, "Sorry for your loss! Sending prayers of comfort to you and your family." Nicole's former "Hollywood Exes" co-stars Mayte Garcia and Sheere Zampino also expressed their sympathy.

It hasn't been a great year for Nicole. In addition to her mother's death, she has been slammed by a lot of people after she was spotted kissing Antoine Fuqua, who is married to Lela Rochon. Moreover, LisaRaye McCoy recently threatened to drop receipts after Nicole denied sleeping with the former's then-husband Michael Misick.

"Here's the thing don't make me do it with the receipts, don't make me do it," LisaRaye said on "The Wendy Williams Show". "Because I don't ever talk about nothing I don't know. I got proof. The kind that I don't need to ask nobody else about."

Nicole, however, has yet to respond to the threat.
