Roy Erskine, the grandfather of the two-time Wimbledon champion, confirms the happy news that the tennis star and his wife, Kim, have welcomed their third child together.

AceShowbiz - Tennis star Andy Murray and wife Kim have welcomed their third child, and first son, together.

The two-time Wimbledon champion's grandfather Roy Erskine, 88, confirmed the news to The Scottish Sun newspaper, and revealed the couple's new arrival is a "wee boy," who is understood to have been born in London last week (end November 03).

"He was born during the week, I don't know his name yet," he said, adding that his wife has been to visit the newborn and he had seen "photographs on (her) phone" of the baby.

He added, "They're both doing fine, I'm just glad that it's all over."

Last month, Andy told The Times newspaper he might have to rethink his upcoming schedule, including a tournament in Belgium, because his baby could arrive at any minute.

"The baby can come any time from pretty much next week," he said. "I would adjust my schedule if I couldn't go to Antwerp. My plan is to play Antwerp and then I am done through to the Davis Cup. If the baby came early, I would miss Antwerp and then maybe play at the Paris Masters."

The couple, who wed in 2015, is already parents to Sophia, three, and Edie, two.
