In response to the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star's post about their unexpected meet, her 'Cruel Intentions' co-star praises her for handling the stressful time with grace.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Michelle Gellar had her spirits lifted by an unexpected run-in with Selma Blair after having to evacuate her California home due to the threat of wildfire.

The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star and her husband, fellow actor Freddie Prinze Jr., were among the local residents forced to leave their properties and get their families to safety early on October 28, as the Getty Fire continued to spread.

Gellar has since recalled the stressful time in a post on Instagram, telling fans she had been an "emotional" mess until she bumped into her close pal and "Cruel Intentions" co-star Selma, whose presence reminded her she had a lot to be thankful for.

"I left my house on Monday am at 3am when we were evacuated, with the clothes on my back (since been washed don't worry) and my family," Gellar captioned a shot of herself and Selma. "I'm definitely scared and emotional, but then I get a surprise of @selmablair and now I can't stop smiling."

"These moments remind me to be grateful for all the blessings I have, and Selma you are certainly one of them," she continued.

"Once again thank you to the @losangelesfiredepartment for all you do. We owe you so much."

Returning the praise, Blair commented, "You are handling this time with such grace as you always do. Thank goodness we got to hug today. Needed that. And bless the #lafd for sure!!!!!".

Gellar and Prinze Jr. were able to return home in time to celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 31, but they weren't the only celebrities who were caught up in the mandatory evacuation zone - Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clark Gregg, Kurt Sutter, and basketball star LeBron James also had to temporarily leave their houses as the blaze burned.
