The third installment of the hit Marvel franchise is expected to pair up the helmer with leading man Paul Rudd once again after successfully banking $622.7 million through 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'.

AceShowbiz - Director Peyton Reed has signed on to help Ant-Man take flight once more for a third installment of the hit Marvel franchise.

Paul Rudd is expected to return as the miniature superhero, and when he does, Reed will be back behind the camera, reports Deadline.com.

A projected release date has yet to be revealed.

The pair first teamed up for "Ant-Man" in 2015, which grossed $519.3 million (£401.3 million) globally, while the 2018 sequel, "Ant-Man and the Wasp", proved to be even more popular with fans, banking $622.7 million (£481.1 million) worldwide.

Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Evangeline Lilly also star in the blockbuster series.
