The studio behind 'Rocketman' has snapped up the rights to the Gibb family estate, which contains the songs of Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb, for the film project.

AceShowbiz - "Bohemian Rhapsody" producer Graham King and the studio chiefs behind "Rocketman" are teaming up to tackle another rock biopic - about the Bee Gees.

King has teamed with bosses at Paramount Pictures, who have snapped up the rights to the Gibb family estate, which contains the songs of Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb.

The Gibb brothers were discovered by The Beatles manager Brian Epstein in the 1960s and they recorded a string of hits before becoming a disco supergroup, thanks to their "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack.

Barry Gibb is the only surviving member of the trio, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
