The 'Nice for What' hitmaker appears to dress up as his dad Dennis Graham in an Instagram picture shared on October 31, insisting that it was 'not planned.'

AceShowbiz - Drake and his father Dennis Graham have called a truce after they got into a public disagreement when the latter accused his son of lying about their relationship to "sell records." Paying homage to his father on Halloween, the Canadian star appeared to have dressed up as Dennis.

The father and son stepped out together on Wednesday night, October 30 wearing matching white knit skull caps. The "Hotline Bling" hitmaker further channeled his father with glasses, fake beard, linen tunic and a necklace to match Dennis' flamboyant style.

Sharing a picture of them standing next to each other on his Instagram account on Thursday morning, Drake insisted that their matching outfits were "not planned."

His fresh idea for Halloween costume has since received praises and positive comments from his followers and celebrity friends, including Jamie Foxx who wrote, "Incredible!!!!! Brilliant" along with several laughing emojis. Professional heavyweight boxer Mike Rashid King gushed, "Hahahaha so dope," while Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Yung Disco simply commented, "Legendary."

Dennis previously called out his son for portraying him as an absentee father in his songs. "I had a conversation with Drake about that. I have always been with Drake," he said on Nick Cannon's Power 106 show "Close Conversations" earlier this month. "I talk to him if not every day, every other day. We really got into a deep conversation about that."

"I said, 'Drake why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.' And he goes 'Dad, it sells records,' " Dennis went on claiming. "I exposed him to every aspect of life. I never hid anything from him … I showed him this side of life. I showed him that side of life."

Drake later hit back at his father through a post on Instagram Stories, writing, "Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that's willing to listen to him. It's sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that's the people we are stuck with..." Insisting that what he says in his songs is the truth, he added, "every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept."

The two, however, appear to have mended their relationship after the public spat.
