AceShowbiz - Niecy Nash and husband Jay Tucker have decided to go separate ways after eight years of marriage. The comedian and actress announced their divorce through a joint statement shared on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, October 30.

The statement read, "We believe in the beauty of truth. Always have. Our truth that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage. Our union was such a gorgeous ride. And as we go out separate ways now, we feel fortunate for the love we share--present tense."

Nash and Tucker continued by thanking those who had supported them throughout their marriage as saying, "Thank you all out there for your support of us as a couple over the last eight years. We are grateful."

While the exes didn't reveal the reason behind their decision to end their marriage, Daily Mail reported that it had something to do with her "full-body cosmetic surgery makeover" and her "extreme career ambitions." According to a source, things started going down hill during the production of "Claws" in New Orleans.

"Jay was really uncomfortable with her graphic sex scenes on the show and that made their problems worse," so the insider noted to the publication. "They were living in two different cities and Jay expressed he didn't like his wife being in New Orleans while he was in L.A."

Nash and Tucker got engaged in 2010 before tying the knot at an outdoor ceremony at the Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu in May 2011. The nuptials was even televised in two-hour special on TLC. She previously said of their wedding, "When Jay and I shared our first dance we were dancing on the dock and there were beautiful swans in the pond and out friends and family were all around. Brandy started singing 'At Last', and girl, I thought my eyelashes were gonna fall off!"

The former lovebirds do not have a child together, though Nash shares three children with ex-husband Don Nash.
