To be honored for her extensive philanthropy work at the prize-giving event, the 'Just Give Me a Reason' hitmaker vows to continue 'be a champion for the truth and for open minds and open hearts.'

AceShowbiz - Pop star Pink is set to be feted for her extensive philanthropy work at the upcoming E! People's Choice Awards.

The "Just Give Me a Reason" hitmaker will pick up the People's Champion Award at the November 10 prizegiving in Santa Monica, California, where she will be applauded for her longtime support of organisations such as No Kid Hungry, the Human Rights Campaign, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Planned Parenthood, and Autism Speaks.

Pink, who has also served as an ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) since 2015, is flattered to be recognised for her activism.

In a statement issued to E!, she writes, "There are so many wonderful organizations and individuals doing extraordinary things in our communities every single day. These are our everyday warriors and champions. They teach us and our children that it's cool to be kind and that change is possible."

"I feel honored to be a small part of that change and will continue to be a champion for the truth and for open minds and open hearts."

E! representative Jen Neal adds, "Pink's ability to capture a global audience with her music and also encourage them to act on behalf of important causes that affect humankind is awe-inspiring."

"As an activist who inspires change for the better, she is the epitome of a People's Champion, and we are humbled to present her with this award."

Pink will also have the opportunity to pick up two other awards on the night as she is nominated for Female Artist of 2019 and Concert Tour of the Year for her "Beautiful Trauma" trek.
