Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville has been granted access to the 'Kitchen Confidential' author's family photos, home movies, letters and music for the feature film.

AceShowbiz - Tragic chef-turned-TV travel host Anthony Bourdain is heading to the big screen as the star of a new documentary.

Members of Bourdain's estate have granted Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville access to the "Kitchen Confidential" author's family photos, home movies, letters and music for the feature, while Bourdain's frequent collaborators Lydia Tenaglia and Christopher Collins and his longtime agent will serve as consulting producers.

"Anthony Bourdain did more to help us understand each other than just about anyone in the history of television," Neville said in a statement. "He connected with people not in spite of his flaws, but because of them. To have the opportunity to tell his story is humbling."

Bourdain committed suicide in July, 2018, aged 61.
