AceShowbiz - Mackenzie McKee is saying goodbye to her single life. Just two months after announcing that she and Josh McKee had ended their marriage, the couple is now back together after the latter planned what the "Teen Mom" star deemed an "unforgettable" proposal on her birthday.
For the romantic event, Josh planned an extravagant scavenger hunt that included a stop at her favorite restaurant, a new outfit, a massage and a note that told her to throw her wedding ring into a lake. When the blonde beauty finally reached the end, Josh presented his love with a brand new sparkler and a private proposal.
She said of the proposal to PEOPLE, "I see this cowboy that I married dressed up in this suit with a rose in his mouth. And he was walking towards me and the music starts playing and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh. I cannot believe this is happening.' "
Mackenzie additionally shared several photos from the moment on her Instagram account, with one image featuring Josh getting down on one knee while presenting her with the ring. The young mom looked genuinely happy in the photo. "This man... I will never forget my 25 birthday," she said in the caption. "6 hours of opening up clues and going on a scavenger hunt. Even putting on a dress you picked out."
"I still can't believe the work God has done. My ring is beautiful and I choose you over and over," she continued. "Here's to new beginnings in Christ."
While most of her followers sent her congratulatory messages, one person decided to ruin her happiness and accused the couple of faking their split to "get back on TV full time." Mackenzie couldn't help but clap back at the user because she found it "hilarious," adding, "That Josh made the cameras leave during this so it can just be me, the two us and the photographer he hired and have it authentic. You guys kill me."
She added, "He has been planning this since before we picked filming back up and honestly wasn't happy to know they would be down that day."
