'The X-Files' star is joining the likes of Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna and Nicholas Galitzine in the cast ensemble of the revamp film by Zoe Lister-Jones.

AceShowbiz - "The X-Files" star David Duchovny has joined the cast of "The Craft" reboot.

The actor will star alongside Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, and Nicholas Galitzine in actress and filmmaker Zoe Lister-Jones' revamp of the 1996 film.

Robin Tunney, who co-starred in the original with Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Christine Taylor, and Rachel True, recently expressed her interest in the new movie, telling etalk, "They are still remaking it. Zoe Lister-Jones is writing it and I may or may not do it. I'm so proud of that movie. It was the first lead I ever had and it's a movie young girls today still watch at sleepovers."

The film revolves around a coven of teenage witches at a Catholic high school.

Jason Blum is producing the new film with Oscar-winning mogul Douglas Wick, who was the brains behind the original.
