Officials for the Hip-Hop event explain they made the tough decision since they do not want to endanger the safety and well-being of their fans, artists and staff.

AceShowbiz - Rolling Loud forthcoming Hong Kong festival has been cancelled due to security concerns over the violent anti-government protests in the Chinese region.
The hip-hop event was due to take place this weekend (October 19-20), with Migos, Wiz Khalifa, and Playboi Carti, among those due to perform.
However, Rolling Loud officials announced they were pulling the festival in a statement to concert trade publication Pollstar on Tuesday.
"After consulting with security experts, it has been determined that it is not possible to organize the upcoming Rolling Loud Hong Kong edition as we had hoped without endangering the safety and well-being of our fans, artists, and staff," they explained. "While we regret having to cancel the festival, this is not a decision that has been taken lightly and we look forward to bringing the Rolling Loud festival experience to Hong Kong in the future to celebrate the city's rich culture and buzzing hip-hop music scene."
Hong Kong has been gripped by protests since the summer, over government attempts to reduce the freedoms its citizens enjoy as a special administrative region of China.
