AceShowbiz - Jennifer Aniston's Instagram debut has been among the most successful in history - the actress has picked up 8.6 million followers in a day.
The star opened her first Instagram account on Tuesday, October 15 with a Friends 25th anniversary reunion selfie and fans flocked to see the photo of herself with former castmates Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.
As a result, Aniston has now smashed Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's record of becoming the fastest Instagram account to reach one million followers - according to the Guinness World Records, the royal couple's Instagram account amassed one million followers in five hours and 45 minutes. Aniston's Instagram post was so popular it reportedly crashed her account briefly.
Her new followers include her "Friends" castmates, pals Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner, and ex-husband Justin Theroux.
There's more good news for the actress - she will be feted with the 2019 People's Icon honour at next month's People's Choice Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Aniston is also nominated in the Female Movie Star of 2019 category for Netflix's hit "Murder Mystery".
