The host of Facebook's 'Red Table Talk' is reportedly in the running to reprise the role that earned her a nomination at the 2004 prestigious NAACP Image Awards.

AceShowbiz - Jada Pinkett Smith is in negotiations to return for the upcoming fourth installment of "The Matrix" franchise. The deal hasn't been sealed just yet, according to Deadline, but the 48-year-old actress is expected to reprise her role as Niobe in "The Matrix 4".

Niobe, introduced in the second movie "The Matrix Reloaded" in 2003, was a character created by the Wachowskis just for the wife of Will Smith. She later returned in the threequel "The Matrix Revolutions" which was released six months after the sequel. The role earned Pinkett Smith an NAACP Image Award nomination in 2004.

Niobe is one of the human rebels from Zion. She is the most gifted martial artist in the virtual world and the most skilled pilot in the real life. She was voiced by Pinkett Smith in video game "Enter the Matrix", Gina Torres in "The Matrix Online", and Kimberly Brooks in "The Matrix: Path of Neo".

Lana Wachowski is set to return behind the lens but her sibling Lilly will skip the fourth film due to her hectic schedule. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are signed on to bring back Neo and Trinity respectively while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is rumored to play a young Morpheus and Neil Patrick Harris is added to play a mystery role.
