AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order to Ronan Farrow and Jon Lovett. The investigative journalist has been engaged to his partner Jon, sharirng that he uses his headline-making book, "Catch and Kill", to pop the question to the "Pod Save America" host.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist wrote on his book that he creatively used a draft to propose to Jon. "Later, when I decided some of that reporting would make its way into a book, I'd send him a draft, and put in a question, right on this page: 'Marriage?' " he shared. "On the moon or even here on earth. He read the draft, and found the proposal here, and said, 'Sure.' "
The coupled had joked about getting married on the moon. " 'Just working on my vows for the ceremony. On the moon. In our gravity boots,' " Ronan wrote in the book, which was dedicated to his now-fiance, recalling what Jon told him during a phone call. "This was a running joke. Jonathan's mother wanted grandchildren, and not in the age of lunar bases."
In his book, Ronan revealed they first met "shortly after [Jon] left his job as a presidential speechwriter" in 2011. The pair have been keeping their relationship away from the dime light, though Ronan took to his Instagram account to give his lover a birthday shout-out back in August.
"Happy birthday to straight shooter respected on all sides @jonlovett. He's okay, I guess!" so Ronan wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile, Jon showed his affection to Ronan by promoting his book on his own Twitter account. Sharing a link to "Catch and Kill", he tweeted, "I'm so proud of @RonanFarrow and I hope you pre-order Catch and Kill."
