Starting a GoFundMe to benefit Aautumn and Wynter, the 'I Took a Pill in Ibiza' singer promises fans he will release a new song if the campaign raises $50,000 and a full mixtape if it collects $100,000.

AceShowbiz - Mike Posner has asked his fans to donate to a college fund for his late pal's daughters.

The "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" singer is in the middle of a 3,000-mile trek across America, and dedicated the Arizona leg of the journey to Ronnie Posey II - a childhood friend who passed away in February at the age of 31.

To help his late pal's kids, Mike has started a GoFundMe in a bid to raise $100,000 (£80,000) to send Ronnie's two daughters, Aautumn and Wynter, to university.

"My name is Mike Posner and I am walking across America. I've walked over 2,000 miles so far, across 11 states," the page's description reads. "I'm walking across America for myself, but I'm walking across Arizona for Ronnie".

Remembering his pal's generosity, the musician explained he wanted to repay the favour, adding: "At the funeral, my mom and I watched, heartbroken, as Ronnie's two daughters, Aautumn and Wynter, looked into the casket and saw their dad for the last time".

"When I spoke at the funeral, I made a commitment that I would help make sure these two amazing girls were taken care of. That's why I'm raising $100,000 to make sure Aautumn and Wynter can go to college, debt free".

If the campaign raises $50,000 (£40,000), Mike told fans he'll release a new song, and if it totals $100,000 he'll debut a full mixtape.

By Sunday, September 22, Mike's campaign had raised nearly $23,000 (£18,400).
