Creative Arts Emmys 2019: 'Queer Eye' Among Winners, Beyonce's 'Homecoming' Is Snubbed

One thing that makes people upset is that this year's Emmys appears to snub the singer's documentary which earns nominations for several categories, but loss in all of them.

AceShowbiz - The 2019 Creative Arts Emmys has revealed its full winners. Announced on Saturday, September 14 and 15 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the festivities honored several categories including guest actors and actresses a week before the 2019 Primetime Emmys. Among the winners in first night were "Queer Eye", "Leaving Neverland", "Saturday Night Live" and "Free Solo".

"Queer Eye" won Outstanding Structured Reality Program, while "Free Solo" nabbed the trophies for Outstanding Picture Edition (Nonfiction), Outstanding Music Composition (Documentary), Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media, Outstanding Directing (Documentary / Nonfiction), Outstanding Sound Mixing (Nonfiction), Outstanding Sound Editing (Nonfiction) and Outstanding Cinematography (Nonfiction).

At Saturday's ceremony, "The Simpsons" was honored with Outstanding Animated Program. Meanwhile, "Family Guy" star Seth MacFarlane bested his opponents and won Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance with Rachel Boom winning an award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend".

One thing that made people upset was that this year's Emmys appeared to snub Beyonce Knowles's "Homecoming: A Film by Beyonce". The documentary earned nominations for several categories, but lost in all of them.

"Game of Thrones", meanwhile, came out as the biggest winner in the second round of the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys after collecting 10 wins. They included Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes. Other big winners that night were "Chernobyl" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" which picked up seven awards each.

HBO's limited series was presented with the awards for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or Special (Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Limited Series or Movie and Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role. Meanwhile, the Amazon comedy series went home with trophies for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Luke Kirby, Outstanding Music Supervision and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Jane Lynch.

The full ceremony will air on Saturday, September 21 at 8 P.M. on FXX.
