The model, who finished in third place in season eight of the Tyra Banks-hosted show, was also charged with corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and terrorist threats.

AceShowbiz - Renee Alway, a former contestant of "America's Next Top Model", finds herself behind the bars once again after being arrested for domestic violence. Earlier this week, the blonde model was taken into custody in Palm Springs, California and was charged with multiple felonies in the incident, according to TMZ.

Charges against Renee included assault with a deadly weapon, corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and terrorist threats. She was also charged with a parole violation as she was let out of the California Institution for Women in Chino, California in August 2018 after having served 5 years of a 12-year prison sentence in the city.

That prison sentence stemmed from her June 2013 arrest, when she got involved in a six-hour standoff with authorities as she was treated as suspicious for wandering around a vacant house while carrying a gun. She subsequently entered a guilty plea to four felony counts of burglary, in addition to vehicle theft and possessing a firearm as a felon.

Following her release from custody after five years, Renee admitted in an interview that she felt like a trainwreck amid the incident. Explaining that she was high at the time of the incident, the model said, "It was bad. It took a whole SWAT team to take me down. That's horrible. Horrible."

Born and raised in northern Michigan, Renee finished in third place in season eight of "America's Next Top Model" with Jaslene Gonzalez taking the winner title. After her stint on the show, Renee confessed that her life didn't get better. Instead, it got harder. "It was just closed door, after closed door, after closed door," she said in an interview. "And that was really hard to take."

"I felt like a failure because I couldn't get past the reality TV stigma that had been put on me... and then there's the pressure of the fans. 'Where are you?' 'What happened?' It's almost like a setup for failure," she continued. "There are plenty of girls who were eliminated and they're doing just fine so, obviously, I made choices that brought me here as well."
